Funding Cycle

The Foundation accepts and reviews concept papers throughout the year, however, concept papers should be submitted by June 1st to be considered for funding in the following year.

If the concept paper is approved, the organization will be invited to submit a full proposal.

Grants are awarded on a calendar-year basis, with new grants announced in the late fall, to begin on January 1st.

If your organization and project meets the Foundation's priorities and guidelines, a brief concept paper may be submitted online, by mail, or by fax.

How To Apply

The first step in applying for a grant from the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation is to determine if your organization and project meets the Foundation's funding priorities and guidelines.

Due to the small size of the Foundation staff, applicants are strongly discouraged from phoning during the application process. Please see Frequently Asked Questions for answers to common questions.

After determining if your organization meets MEAF's criteria you are welcome to submit a short concept paper for preliminary review. Concept papers are accepted throughout the year. See the Funding Cycle information at the right for deadline and award information.

Concept papers may be submitted online, by mail, or by fax.

If you need assistance, please contact us using the MEAF email form.
